1279 W. AnnArbor Trail. Built by Timothy Moss in 1827. Although it’s seen some major modifications, this is one of Plymouth’s oldest homes. This house was renovated in the 60’s to it’s current appearance.

This home underwent a major renovation in 1938-39 by Thomas W. Moss, who also resided at the residence until 1955. I have a copy of an article about the renovation from the October 1939 issue of Better Homes & Gardens if you would like it.
I think Tom Moss and his English wife lived there longer than 1955? I lived next door and remember them, but was born in 1954. Maybe they returned to visit? I’d love to see the article! My mother always said she’d saved the article when she lived in Madison, WI and ended up next door. She gave the article to the Kings, who lived there after the Moss’ and soon moved to New Canaan, CT.
Hi Steve,
You are probably correct as I don’t know the exact year they moved to Florida. Maybe 58-59?
I can send you the article and a few pictures if you’d like. He was my grandfather and my mom grew up there. I was also born in 1954. You can email me at jpmsteffen@gmail.com
