1655 Cassady (formerly 44622 N. Territorial) Built in 1875 Originally the home of Marcus Miller, later was sold to the Cassady Family & is now the focal point of the Cassady townhouses built in 2002.
I grew up in the 50, 60 s at 575auburn st , only 2 streets past Sheldon .you could walk to the corner of farmer an Sheldon an watch the Cassady plow the land ,from the front of there house to the RR tracks where western electric sits .back then it was one big field . Really sad to see houses built on the farm land.!!!!!!!
I grew up in New England Village on Sheldon and N. Territorial. We used to walk quite far (it seemed anyway) down N. Territorial and over a hill to “Cassady Pond”. Is this related to these people? There was the foundation of an old house. We used to dig in there and found some broken dishes with blue and white designs. It was very peaceful up there. I was so incredibly sad when they built a bunch of Mcmansions on all of that beautiful land. There were fields of wild flowers and birds and animals. It was all plowed down and paved and I don’t know what happened to the pond. I hated that. So sad.
I keep ringin the darn Elevator Phone but no one is picking up! And what in the Hell happened to the barn!
