298 S. Main Street. Built in 1898. The Conner Building was originally built as Conner’s Hardware Store. Additions were made in 1904 and in 1926. Michael Conner established Plymouth’s first harware store in the 1850’s. Today this Iconic building houses multiple shops & offices such as Kilwin’s, a great place to treat yourself!  https://www.kilwins.com/plymouth

    As a kid, I remember going into the Conner’s Hardware Store in this building with my dad. What stands out in my memory most, is the many barrels of bulk nails and screws lined up along the walls.. As I recall, the store was quite narrow and there were entrance doors from both Main St.at the front and Penniman Ave.at the back of the store.

    Mr. Will Conner most definitely gets an ‘Atta Boy’ for being in on the formation of Ford Motor of Canada(1904)!
